Good Luck Dale, I like the info on your site. Always nice to put a name to a face! More Kung-Fu people should investigate the type of strength training your involved in. I'm an advocate as well. I've read a lot about kettle ball training, and I hope to do some in the future. Keep kicking a$$ and taking names! Kudos!
Kettlebells are excellent for whole body power development that I do not lift conventionally anymore. I do Steve Cotters material exclusively and have met him. Great guy with a great kung fu background.
If you have a chance to meet and train with him, I would do it.
My skills have improved in the last year of training with KB's. I recommend them to everyone who wants to get strong and train whole body power. You can incorporate them into your training and use lighter weight bells for mok pai(spelling)training. I assume you do that in Lama Pai as its similar if not the same to Hop Gar.
